A catch-all feature that is activated for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filters so as to get only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be incredibly easy if you’ve got a shared web hosting with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit intuitive Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the hosting account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve created displayed alphabetically and next to each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately notify you if a certain mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any moment. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will get an alert from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with a couple of mouse clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be managed via our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses under any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you’ll have to click on the logo with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the exact same way and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all option has already been enabled for a certain domain name, you will receive a warning message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or replace any feature automatically.
